Built for Amazon.com Wholesale Sellers
Wholesale sourcing on Amazon US has a specific shape: you receive supplier price lists by email with thousands of UPCs and net buy prices, and you have a few hours to decide which products to buy before someone else gets the inventory. A general-purpose Amazon FBA calculator that handles one ASIN at a time is not built for this. Profit Scanner is.
Upload the supplier's file as-is. We auto-detect the UPC, MPN, and price columns, fix the Excel-stripped leading zeros on UPC-A codes (a common Brother / Arlington / Tech Data issue), and start matching against the Amazon US catalog within seconds. Every product comes back with the live Buy Box price, the FBA fee broken down by size tier and price band, sales rank with drop history, offer count, and a profit number you can trust because it includes the 3.5% fuel surcharge active since April 17, 2026.
What “real fees” means on the US marketplace
Amazon publishes a rate card every January. For 2026 it has 38 referral categories, FBA size tiers in inches and ounces (Small Standard up to 15″ × 12″ × 0.75″ at 16 oz, Large Standard up to 18″ × 14″ × 8″ at 20 lb), three price bands per tier (under $10 Low-Price, $10–$50 standard, over $50), and a Low-Price FBA discount that auto-applies to items under $10. Most calculators stop at the headline 15% referral and miss the tiered appliance / electronics accessories rules, the threshold-mode pricing on apparel and beauty, or the per-pound increment on bulky items. We replicate the full schedule in code, validated line-by-line against the official Amazon Seller Central reference. Difference: when you quote a wholesale buyer's margin, the number lands.
Risk detection before the order goes through
Pricing is half the equation. The other half is whether you can actually sell the product on Amazon US without getting your account suspended. We flag 9 risk types per row: IP / brand ownership conflicts, gated category requirements (Grocery, Beauty, Health), hazmat / dangerous goods restrictions, oversize products that need a separate FBA program, items where Amazon itself is the seller (compete-with-Amazon risk), low sales velocity, sudden BSR drops indicating the listing is dying, suspect IP review patterns, and recent price erosion. A 5-row preview of these risks is on every paid plan.
FAQ — Amazon FBA Calculator for US Sellers
How does the Amazon FBA calculator for US sellers work?
You upload a CSV or Excel wholesale list with UPCs and your buy prices in USD. We map every UPC to the matching Amazon ASIN, pull live data from Amazon.com (Buy Box price, sales rank, offers, dimensions), then compute real US FBA fees — referral fee, fulfillment fee by size tier, monthly storage — and show you net profit, ROI, and break-even price for every product. Built specifically for the 2026 Amazon US rate card.
What FBA fees does the calculator include for Amazon.com?
All of them: referral fee (8% to 17% by category — Electronics 8%, Home & Kitchen 15%, Clothing tiered 5%/10%/17%), FBA fulfillment fee with imperial size tiers (Small Standard, Large Standard, Small Bulky, Large Bulky, Extra-Large), Low-Price FBA discount for items under $10, and the 3.5% fuel & logistics surcharge active from April 17, 2026. We follow the official Amazon US rate card to the cent.
Can I upload UPC codes with 11 digits?
Yes. Excel often strips the leading zero from UPC-A codes when the column is formatted as Number, leaving 11-digit codes that look invalid. We auto-pad 11-digit codes back to 12-digit UPC-A on upload — no manual fix required. This is critical for distributors like Arlington and Brother where most catalog UPCs start with "0".
Does the scanner handle US sales tax for the profit calculation?
US sales tax is collected by Amazon under Marketplace Facilitator laws in nearly every state, so it is paid by the buyer on top of your sale price. Your seller payout does not include sales tax, so we exclude it from the profit calculation. If you are based in a state where you remit your own tax, you can adjust the calculation in the dashboard.
How is this different from a free FBA revenue calculator?
Free calculators like the Amazon FBA Revenue Calculator only handle one ASIN at a time and require you to know the ASIN already. We accept entire wholesale supplier price lists — 1,000 to 50,000+ rows — auto-match UPCs to ASINs, compute fees, and flag 9 risk types per product (IP complaints, brand restrictions, hazmat, oversize, low BSR, etc.). For wholesale sourcing volume, that is a 100x speed-up.
Do I need an Amazon Seller account to use the scanner?
No. We do not connect to your Seller Central. Everything runs from public Amazon catalog data plus your uploaded wholesale list. You can evaluate suppliers and price lists before you ever open a seller account.
Is there a free plan for US wholesale sellers?
Yes. The Free plan includes 3 scans per month with the same data depth as paid plans. Most users start there to validate a few suppliers, then upgrade to Starter (€19.99/mo, 10 scans), Pro (€49.99/mo, unlimited), or Premium (€79.99/mo) when they scale. Prices exclude VAT — US customers pay no VAT (export of services).
How accurate are the profit numbers vs SellerAmp or BuyBotPro?
For Amazon US products with complete catalog data, our fee numbers match the official rate card to within $0.01. We rebuild the full 2026 US fee schedule (size tiers in inches/ounces, 3 price bands for FBA fulfillment) instead of relying on Keepa-cached estimates that are sometimes wrong on tiered categories like Grocery, Industrial, and Electronics. Validated against 5,000 production scan rows.
