Wholesale Sellers Lose Money on Products That Look Profitable
Hidden Amazon Fees
FBA fees, referral fees, storage costs — they add up fast. A product with 30% margin on paper can be unprofitable after Amazon takes its cut.
VAT Miscalculation
EU sellers often forget VAT in profit calculations. A "profitable" deal becomes a loss when VAT is properly accounted for.
Dead Inventory Risk
Products that don't sell tie up capital and rack up storage fees. Without sales velocity data, you're buying blind.

Prepare your supplier price list in 2 minutes
You don't have to reformat anything — but knowing exactly what the analyzer reads gets you clean results on the first upload.
Accepted formats
CSV, XLS and XLSX. Export the price list your supplier already sends you — no template to fill in, no cleanup required first.
The only two columns that matter
A product code (EAN, UPC or ISBN) and your wholesale cost. Everything else — stock, MOQ, description, tier prices — is optional extra signal.
| EAN | Description | Cost | Stock | Price @ 3,000 pcs |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 4006381333931 | Widget A 500ml | €10.40 | 240 | €8.90 |
| 5000112637922 | Widget B 6-pack | €21.00 | 80 | €18.50 |
Column order and names don't matter
Profit Scanner auto-detects which column holds the barcode and which holds the price, whatever they're called or wherever they sit. You confirm the mapping in one click before the scan runs.
Volume & tier pricing is read too
Have a cheaper price at 1,000 vs 3,000 units? Add each as its own price column and the analyzer reports profit and ROI at every order tier — so you buy at the volume that actually pays.
Before you upload — quick checklist
- ✓ Barcodes kept as text so leading zeros aren't stripped
- ✓ One currency per file (or a currency column)
- ✓ Prices as numbers, not text with mixed symbols
- ✓ One row per product (variations on their own rows)
Supplier price list analysis — FAQ
What file formats can I upload?
CSV, XLS and XLSX. Export the price list your supplier already sends you — no reformatting needed.
Which columns does the analyzer need?
Just two: a product code (EAN, UPC or ISBN) and your wholesale cost. Stock and extra price tiers are optional.
Does the column order or naming matter?
No. Profit Scanner auto-detects which column holds the code and which holds the price, and you confirm it in a one-click mapping step.
Can I analyze volume or tier pricing?
Yes. If your list has several price columns (for example a lower price at 1,000 vs 3,000 units), each is read as a tier so you see profit at every order size.
What happens if a code does not match an Amazon product?
It is flagged separately. Profit Scanner matches EAN, UPC and ISBN codes to ASINs across all supported marketplaces before giving up.
Is there a limit to how many products I can analyze?
Your file-size limit depends on your plan. The free plan lets you analyze a full list so you can test it before upgrading.
